Corrections

We take accuracy seriously. If you believe a GeoTalks article contains a factual error, we want to know — and we will fix it quickly.

Our commitment

  • Verified factual errors are corrected within 24 hours.
  • A dated correction note is appended to the original article.
  • We do not silently alter or delete articles to obscure mistakes.
  • Significant errors are acknowledged in the article introduction.

How to submit a correction

Email us at editorial@geotalks.in with the subject line "Correction Request" and include:

  1. The URL of the article
  2. The specific claim you believe is incorrect
  3. What you believe the correct information to be
  4. A source or reference supporting the correction (if available)

What happens next

Our editorial team will review the claim against available sources. If the error is confirmed, we will:

  1. Update the article with the correct information.
  2. Append a correction note: "Correction (Date): [description of change]."
  3. Reply to you to confirm the correction was made.

If we review the claim and believe the original text is accurate, we will explain our reasoning in our reply.
